Our weekly classes concentrate on the element of having fun, enjoying acting, and increasing vocal skills. Our pupils grow in confidence, make new friends and gain many useful skills. The classes are kept to an appropriate size making it possible for each child to shine and enabling them to get as much from our classes as possible.

Drama Factory is a fantastic place to hone performance skills, and an ideal springboard for anyone hoping to study drama in further education.  

Our pupils learn about theatre and performance, gain vocal training, craft performance skills, learn audition techniques and grow confidence, on both a performance and a personal level. One week, the focus could be improvising a character, the next working in pairs, trying some Shakespeare, learning some physical theatre, dance, finding a voice, both text and sung.

Our tutors are professionally trained and each specialises in different fields, which in turn gives our pupils versatility and variety.

We encourage pupils to take our L.A.M.D.A. examinations up to Gold Medal level standard and beyond.  These internationally recognised exams can earn students valuable UCAS points as well as creating a portfolio of audition pieces for future use. Drama Factory has been coaching pupils for these exams for 30 years and maintains a very high pass rate.

We hope when our young people leave us, they will have a love of theatre, will have gained communication skills to take into further education and the workplace and will have the confidence to take on anything. Since 1990 a large number of our pupils have gone on to perform and teach in the theatre industry.
